February Vacation Week

Come visit during February School Vacation Week, February 16-20, 2015. Make a craft, complete our scavenger hunt, check out a hands-on history cart and explore our three floors of exhibits! In celebration of Black History Month, the week will be packed full of family friendly activities and guided exhibit tours for a week of learning and fun in Cooperstown! All activities are included with museum admission.

Monday, February 16

10:30 am: Plaques of the Gallery Tour

Aimed at visitors of all ages, this program educates visitors about the Plaque Gallery’s history, the process of creating a Hall of Fame plaque, and the meaning of being a Hall of Famer.

11:00 am: Children's Story Time at Sandlot Kids Clubhouse

Drop in to enjoy our favorite baseball stories. Stay for one story or for the whole program. Great for young children.

1:00 pm: Guided Tour, Pride & Passion Exhibit

In this guided presentation, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Negro Leagues and our Pride & Passion Exhibit.

3:00 pm: So You Think You Know Baseball? Trivia Challenge

Test your knowledge of baseball history in this interactive game show. Make your way through nine 'innings' of questions, and win a free year-long membership to the museum.

Tuesday, February 17

An in-depth look at interesting baseball cards from the past 50 years.

2:30 pm: Special Screening 42, The Story of Jackie Robinson

The story of Jackie Robinson from his signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers organization in 1945 to his historic 1947 rookie season when he broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball.

Wednesday, February 18
